There are many things to buy in a grocery store. However, most of the items on the shelves have genetically modified organisms. The human body is not meant to take in anything that is genetically modified. The human body is organic, and anything organic is best for the human body. Back with the items in the grocery stores, most of the items that have genetically modified organisms do not say so. I believe that there should be a label on everything that has genetically modified organisms.

What exactly are genetically modified organisms? Genetically modified organisms are plants or animals which have had foreign genes injected into them. These foreign genes make the plants or animals more favorable. However, not enough research has been done to determine what the side effects of genetically modified organisms cause. Some seeds from genetically modified plants may be carried off into the wind and be combined with wild plants. The genetically modified seed may ultimately dominate the whole wild crop, causing all offspring to be genetically modified, and thus reducing genetic variation.

Genetically modified organisms may ultimately change us. Who knows, maybe because of genetically modified organisms, our children will fly one day, or just be mutant freaks?
